Our founder, Ms Veronica Lai graduated with Bachelor of Laws (LLB) (Hons) from the University of London (UOL) with the privilege of a full scholarship from THE STAR Education Fund. She obtained her Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) and was admitted as Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on 21 November 2008.

During pupillage in Messrs Shahrizat Rashid & Lee, Ms Veronica Lai has been actively involved in the Property and Finance Department as well as the Corporate Department. Hence, she has been given the maximum exposures and greatest insights in both areas of practice.

In the Property and Finance Department, she has rendered her kind assistance in various aspects of conveyancing practice, including sale and purchase, direct developer and loan documentation (retail & corporate). She has been extremely supportive and helpful towards all the Legal Assistants and Partners, especially in the task of drafting, vetting, meeting clients and miscellaneous.

In the Corporate Department, she has been assigned to attend several due diligence exercises for corporations such as MIDF, Telekom Malaysia, just to name a few. From time to time, she has been entrusted to conduct various research work and legal writing on a wide spectrum of legal issues.

Ms Veronica Lai has joined Messrs Sheng Lee Law Office in its respective Conveyancing Department since 1 February 2012. During her tenure in Messrs Sheng Lee Law Office, Ms Veronica Lai is responsible for a mass variety of portfolio, including sub-sales, project, financing etc.

Amongst the loan documentations handled by Ms Veronica Lai, includes CIMB Bank Berhad, Public Bank Berhad, Malayan Banking Berhad, United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Berhad, RHB Bank Berhad, Hong Leong Bank Berhad, Ambank (M) Berhad etc.

Furthermore, Ms Veronica Lai has been handling the housing development known as “Palm Walk 2B & Palm Walk 3” under the infamous Developer, Sin Heap Lee Development Sdn Bhd. In view of her notable and highly-acclaimed performance, diligence and dedication, Ms Veronica Lai has been promoted to be a Senior Legal Associates of Messrs Sheng Lee Law Office in June 2012, a few months before her resignation. Simultaneously, Ms Veronica Lai has also been offered a partnership by other reputable legal firm in KL and to lead its conveyancing department.
